One of the first this that sticks out with Windows Vista are the six versions that Microsoft launches into the market, three are for homes, two for companies and another one for the developing countries. That way, the system will improve the work of the consumers and the companies that pay for what they really need, avoiding paying for tools that they are never going to use. As the Windows Vista version gets more expensive, greater will be the things that it provides the user, even though it will also need a bigger capacity of the computer in order to function right.
In order to be able to execute Windows Vista you have to have 1GB of Ram at least. Also, it is needed a last-generation graphic devise and very potent too in order to execute the new graphic environment.
Windows Vista presents more complex than Windows XP and, above all, more eye-catching because it allows you to change from one application to another through animated menus. Besides, there have also been added the small programs (“gadgets”) with services such as clock, weather, calendars among others that can be placed on the corner of the chart.
Vista won’t have the Star menu as we know it, because there is no need to jump from one submenu to the following one until you find the application or document wanted. It is also a very intuitive operative system, with search of files and documents in small icons, besides it has a search bar in the Internet Explorer window.
The security is another big issue that, when creating the Windows Vista, Microsoft paid close attention to, and that is why there are included several devices which intend to prevent the informatics attacks that have cause to much injure to the reputation of the Windows XP.
Office 2007
Along with the launching of Vista, Microsoft made public the new version of its Office programs, that include many improvements in relation to the Office 2003.
To the eye, the new Office 2007 is simpler and much neater than the previous ones, what keeps the working space much less restricted and, above all, free from the many toolbars, that have been replaced by buttons or command groups that change automatically according to the actions the users is doing.
Even though Microsoft made special emphasis on the benefits that represent for the companies the new tools, the truth is that the experts consider that the companies are going to take longer to use the Office 2007 as it has happened before.
About the individual users, it is thought that the speed of adopting the new operational system will depend also on the specifications of each computer and of the sales of new computers. |
