Adobe Systems has announced that Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 1.0 can be pre-ordered as of now and it will be officially launched in mid-February. This new software allows professional photographers to import, handle and present large volumes of digital photographs.
Adobe has said that Photoshop Lightroom includes a lot of new features that make digital photography workflows more efficient. Up until April 30, 2007 Adobe’s Photoshop Lightroom will be sold at a special introductory price of $199, but only at the Adobe Store. Later, the software will be sold for approximately $299.
Photoshop Lightroom includes useful tools such as a Hue, Saturation and Luminance targeted adjustment tool for precise and intuitive image edits. The Clone and Healing tools provide non-destructive edits to eliminate dust in one or many images.
Photoshop Lightroom supports over 150 file formats, including JPEG and TIFF. The camera models supported by Adobe’s software include the Nikon D40 and D80 and the Pentax K10D, which means that photographers can use it with the newest cameras on the market. |
