A virus is a program that executes itself occupying some space in the disk and then it runs the tasks that it has been programmed to do. These virus come, usually through e-mails. In the case of the virus to install, it is very likely that the antivirus is affected and its functioning starts to be untrustworthy. |

If you suspect that your computer is infected, you must never carry on with any operation of installing or disinfecting from the computer itself. The adequate procedure is to reinitiate the system, go into the operational system in a “safe way” and proceed with the cleaning from a clean and save place.
90% of the antivirus offer the option of repairing the damaged files, but it’s always better to go to our own security copy and avoid all the files and documents that were in the computer before the infection, in order to do so it is necessary to have a backup of all the important files.
The functions that all antivirus do are:
- Detect the virus: it has to be able to assure the presence and/or action of a virus in the computer. It can also provide identification modules, virus removal or elimination of the infected virus.
- Identification of a virus: there are several techniques to do this task such us scanning, heuristic and integrity checkers. |
